Stolen e60 2009

Quetion for you boffins

My colleagues 2009 520d was stolen today.
I know that she doesn't have a tracker but is there any sort of tracking device built into BMWs which BMW themselves can track.

Any advice would be helpful

Only answer I can come up with, is there any form of cell-phone sim card installed, ie for the in-car-phone, 3G device (GPS) etc ?

Nope- you're probably referring to BMW Connect drive - my wife's F30 has it and for a fanatic like me , have not explored it's features yet, but thanks anyway
