Stock or not?

Hi all,

I have a stock 335i sedan. Still have 38 months left on the motor plan.

I was planning on keeping it stock until the motorplan expires. But I am so intriqued reading all the comments on the forum regarding the difference between stock and not.

I have a few questions:

1. What would be the first and best option to select if I wanted to mod? Would this be software?
2. If so, what software/chip is the best?
3. What does it cost, installation included?
4. Is it a plug in system? How does one prevent BMW from picking it up etc
5. Who in Cape Town can do this?

Sorry for all the questions. But I have limited knowledge regarding after market tuning etc.

Regards
M

Each to their own, but I recommend the JB4. Fairly easy to install, same to remove, great power. i have one, and i can highly recommend it.

To prevent BMW from picking it up, remove it before service time. You can do this yourself, no need to contact the tuner.

I think Twinz can point you in the right direction when it comes to JB4.

One final comment, prepare to grin each time you put your foot down!

JB4 FTW :inlove:

My mate just took his dastek unichip out of his e46 330i as he is trading up soon.

It was installed and removed by Steve's auto clinic in milnerton. I am not very educated on what is best or what will void motor plans, but this is plug and play so also can be removed.

He is willing to sell if you keen, so let me know. I think it's under warranty still, I can check and you will be saving yourself a dollar or 2.
