Hi

Up here Silverton did my rad for R450 on the 328 E36. Blowout, new seals and reassemble. It holds under the turbo pressure no problem.

Just a thought

Valid point. What is the guarantee on the recon job?

They gave me a 6 month on parts and labour. These radiators are easy to fix and once done are as good as new.

Don!

Stop... Dont do a thing. Buy this:

http://www.sosoil.co.za/shop-more.php?pid=93

Been sold in America since 1914 and is an absolutely amazing product. We have yet to see any product work like this.

A prime example of how this product works. All Elwierda busses keep a tube of this in their tool kit. A year or so ago we had a bus at Cape Point start losing coolant... But it was quite a big hole.

They chucked in the Permoseal and allowed the engine to idle... When this "Curry Powder" as I call it comes into contact with air it hardens. They poured it in and it took about 20 minutes to seal as the hole was so big. They simply used a bucket under the radiator and as it leaked out they poured it back in until it sealed the hole.

That bus is still running with Permoseal in the radiator.

It wont block up the radiator and it is permanent. Its vibration proof and lets face it... If it didnt work would it still be on sale so many years later?

Even Silverton radiators use this product :mmm:

**Only when a customer cannot afford a new radiator though**

eish mike, I'm very weary of things like this, I would hate to cause any damage to my engine internally.

Do you offer some sort of guarantee with this stuff?

Yes... The name of our company and the fact that this product has been selling in America since 1914.

I promise you that this will not harm your car in any way. We even have two of our delivery vehicles with Permoseal in them.

We have also been selling this now for over 10 years now and have never ever had a negetive comeback. They even recommend that even if the radiator has no issues that you throw it in as a precautionary.

Don - I dont sell crap.

Mike

Don - Give Mr. John Daniels a call at Silverton Radiators a call and ask him about Permoseal. 021 551 1261

They buy boxes of this per month from us.

Once again, I will take your word on this.

I will print this page out and sue the shit out of you if my car dies :)

Unfortunately I dont control the pricing on that. JB Weld (the manufacturer) does. Thats the the recommended price for the product for the South African market and we as the only agent in SA for it are not allowed to change the price.

And dont worry. Your car wont die. :slap:

This I gotta see: Don and Mike in front of Judge Judy: Yes, your honor, $1,59 he ripped me off and now my car is dead too. (Empty can of oil gets flung across the court room)

And that is exactly when I forced 10 packets of the said product down his trap...

Now I ask you, is it my fault he can never go to the toilet again...

Hellas, ya, I would like to be a fly on the wall for that one too.

right, so last week I decided to try a pack of Mike's snakeoil radiator sealing stuff.

I was topping up with about 100ml of coolant daily, since putting the snakeoil in on Thursday, I have not lost a drop of coolant. I have been checking every morning, and the level is staying exactly the same!

I am glad it worked freerider. But now I have a question.. If it seals a leak in the radiator so well, doesn't it seal all the water chambers in the engine as well?:slap::slap: myself. lol

No, it works by going hard when it comes into contact with cold air I think. Fine for a short term fix but I wouldn't use it for long term use, I would fix the leak properly asap.
