On Sat I replaced the Thermostat housing on my car, as you can see, it was leaking.

We went on the breakfast run on Sunday, and this morning when I checked the coolant level, I had to top up about 150ml again :cursin:

Something I noticed when I had my LCAB's replaced in Dec, was that there was hot water dripping down and off the bell housing, so from somewhere at the back of the engine.

I suspect that maybe its the heater hose thats leaking, part number 8 in the diag below.

The crap thing is that its under the intake manifold :bawling:

I also lost coolant in the same fashion. Turned out to be that exact same hose.

No, the e36. Just the other day, after we did the engine.

looks like a mission to change though, I wonder if it can be done without removing the entire intake manifold.

Found the problem, what I thought was a leak at the back of the engine was indeed water from the aircon, it just gets damn hot after rolling down the front of the gearbox.

My leak however is a bit of a bummer, its the seam of the radiator thats leaking. :bawling:

Yeah that is from BMW. Really not that bad if you consider my mother paid R2200 for a new radiator for her ford laser 1.3i 2 years ago.

For R1750, go quickly and buy it from the stealers.... before they realise there's a mistake on the price!!!!
