Steptronic Issue with e46 325

Hi guys,

if anyone can help with a steptronic issue please, once you put the into drive and accelerate it does not move, i have to rev it up and it kind of kicks into gear, but once in gear the vehicle stays in 4th gear and the little gear indicator lights up next to the "D" on the cluster, obviously indicating some sort of issue.
I switch the car off, start it up, no indicator on cluster then put in steptronic "M" mode, it indicates 1st gear rev it up to take gear, it again kicks hard but straight into 4th and stays there with the gear indicator back on intermediately after it takes gear, it doesn't down shift when you stop it takes off in 4th and stays there, reverse is the same issue, you have to rev it up to take gear, this morning i tried reverse but it now refuses to take it at all.
But one thing to note is that if you select between "P", "N", "D", you can sort of feel the changing happening but very weak.

If anyone can please maybe tell me what the problem might be, i would appreciate it.

Thanks

I had a similiar problem with my E39 a while ago. Tune Tech replaced the ABS pump and all was good. Best would be to take it to a reliable BMW tech who knows about them, i suggest Tune Tech.

+1 diagnostics here is the place to start..when it comes to transmissions even the dealers first have to make sure theres nothing else wrong on the car before approaching the transmission..GL with sorting it out
