I am driving an e-46 328i, 1999 model and has covered 340,000km.
Had to replace the propshaft, control arm bushes and recently the power steering pump.
The pump became noisy and the shaft just snapped. Had it replaced and what I find interesting is that it appears as if my fuel consumption has improved by about 5%. Can a faulty/worn pump have such an impact, as no other work was done at the time.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
