Steering pump conversion

Good day guys
I have a e36 325i M50. I've had steering pump problems for some time now. I keep replacing them with a stock pump now I'd like to know if I can replace it with a e46 pump, what all do I need to do the conversion, is this possible. Or please tell me what the best conversion would be.
Thanks

why do you keep replacing them ? Maybe the pump your buying is of a bad quality or there's something else wrong with the system?

You shouldn't be replacing the pumps so often.

I changed then twice in the last 2 years. They just stop working, no power steering at idle speed. Another thing is buying a new 1 from the dealer is very expensive so I have to settle for a second hand part..

second hand part , that's where your problem is , buying second hand on a wear and tear part like this wont guarantee that it will last very long , its been used on the previous car for who knows how many thousand kms. Its a gamble .

Buy one from Goldwagen , prices are not to bad from them . At least its new .
