Standard 135i comparison

Anyone in the JHB area (Sunninghill preferably) with a standardish 135i willing to showcase their car's performance?

Recently got my car back from BMW for replacing injectors/coils and want to see if my car is pulling as it should. I've never been in a stock 135i so I have no benchmark to compare against. Reason for asking is that the car seems more brutal in acceleration when its coldish and after its warmed up its more subdued.

Maybe its my mind playing tricks on me, but I would like a fellow fanatic to either ride along with me for a quick trip or let me ride along with them or both.

Any takers?

Brutal when cold? Never give it stick when cold. Its a turbo car...be gentle.

Allow the oil temps to warm up. When you say subdued i am sure you mean "smooth" which is how it should be.

You can get a datalogging tool which will enable you to log all kinds of performance parameters on your tuned or stock car. Will be far more valuable than a race down the street.

Remember all cars are essentially different despite being the same model and one of them WILL be infront in a street race - But it could be all sorts of factors. Different tyre set up...weight...condition of the car...the driver etc...but being infront will still not tell you anything about the car

Jah, by brutal, I mean the g forces that push you into the seat, its more pronounced when its cold. I don't pull the car more than 4k rpm when cold, but its still more noticeable. I'm happy just to know that the car is performing as expected. I don't want to race, just a ride along with a knowledgeable/experienced fanatic.

For the datalogging tool, is that something that plugs in at the driver side door area? How much do they cost and are there any warranty implications?

Yes plugs into the obd on the right hand side. No warranty issues to worry about as long as you (stick) to the guidelines on using the tool reader. PM rennzport for pricing.
