Sprint Booster - Unbias review

I finally received one of these gadgets and I am pleased to say that I LOVE this product.
I own a 2009 E90 BMW 325i sport. It felt like it had an intentional throttle delay in the low rev range. My car was a sport option but never had a sport (which eliminates this lag). The car still has a Service plan as well as a Motor plan so extreme mods were out of the question... until I discovered the Sprint Booster!!! There has been many critics (who never trying the product for themselves) but let me tell ya'll espesially E90 325i owners to give it a try and tell me what you think.
My rear wheels now spin in 1st and 2nd gear (with DTC totally off) with easy and the throttle power delivery is more direct ... and thats only in Sport mode! Then there's Race mode... man I love this product!!!
Quick and simple to install too.

Diago do you know how it works?

It simply modifies the accelerator pedal signal - more direct acceleration!

Quick and easy to install... simply loosen the hex bolt of the accelerator pedal, slide the pedal up, unplug the stock connector, plug in the sprint booster, re-assemble the pedal then you done and ready to play!

cant you just glue a rubber thingy to the back of the pedal to make it push the accelerator deeper? or just move your foot quicker...

im finding it hard to keep quite about this one because i know other people will spend money on it :banghead: and i just feel there is way more to be gained from actually learning to use your car properly than fiddling with it to make it 'better'

im sorry but this is just fiddling and wont gain you anything...

It works for some people and doesnt for many others. Usually the latter have never tried it and your only basis for this is that you believe you can mimic its function and save on such an accessory.
Well, its like launch control. Sure some people can launch a car just as good if not better without launch control. Many others prefer launch control.
Point being if you don't need driver aids, then stop finding it hard to keep quite. In fact don't even bother yourself when others acquire and use it!

this thing is not a 'driver aid' it is AIDS...
dont get me wrong im glad it worked out for diago and he loves it, but others will spend a couple thousand on it... then when they get used to the fact they have to move the pedal less to get to full throttle they will realize it was a waste of money... if it was a couple of hundred then sure why not, but the price is ridiculous for what you get...

Luckily I have the savvy to know that if i want to go faster i need to press the accelerator pedal deeper.
No need for a stupid over responsive gimmick to take over that function WITHOUT INCREASING MAX POWER AT ALL.
Why don't you just replace the pedal with an on/off switch to the fly by wire throttle - wide open or nothing :mmm:

Some people just find it difficult to comprehend M3turbo, so leave it be... the main thing is that no matter how quick/ fast ur foot is on the throttle u still have to realize that the new age vehicles has alot more electonics than the older ones, (carborator v fuel injection might be a good example) so u will tramp that electronic throttle till u 'blue in the face' but it will only do what it is electronically programmed to do! No worries unbelievers, we certainly are believers in this product.

taken off the sprint booster web site:

• Sprint Booster does not increase Horsepower.
• Sprint Booster does not reduce your 0-60mph times.
• Sprint Booster DOES make your car 'FEEL' faster.
• Sprint Booster is not for everyone.

"Is Sprint Booster for everyone? Of course not, no performance product ever is. If you have a track car where you spend most of your time near redline, Sprint Booster is not for you - Sprint Booster benefits are felt in the low to mid pedal travel. Some people don't like the fact that Sprint Booster reaches full throttle before full pedal travel - if you routinely mash the throttle to the floor, Sprint Booster may not be for you."

all it does is make full throttle where 3/4 throttle used to be it is exactly the same as "tramping" because that is how the ecu will read it... its the same thing as a 'throttle pulley' mod on older cars...

the only thing i find "difficult to comprehend" is how you can justify the +-3k price tag if it was 300 fair enough its worth that...

We can debate on and on.... when you buy a stock E90 325i sport then u can borrow mine then we'll talk again... for the record... I paid less than 2K for mine.

Guys lets not dis-respect anyones mod if it works for them then thats great. At the end of the day Diago has a reason for his mod and its his money, he wants a quicker throttle response, by changing the drive by wire setting thats cool. The E90 has a throttle delay, i know i have an E90. I believe he will out launch an E90 325i because he saves time on the throttle response.

Read his post: He is on Motorplan, he could go and have the throttle setting improved but he would say bye bye to Motorplan.

I would agree though that R2000 is a bit much for the mod, wait for motorplan to expire and then do performance software.

For sure i hear what you are saying. I'm sure that if anyone is doing a mod they would do the sensible and wise thing:mmm: and research first. It works for the guy and he's happy.
