Very nice.
Though my first thought was 850i with a manual box. I'm convinced they don't exist in SA :mmm:

My sister in law's car was taken out by a taxi 2 days ago very close to where that BMW was parked. Luckily she works in the high court and they have cameras all over...

Now do we have to have to go to court just to see this!? :fencelook:

What a rare piece! You should have asked a passer by to take a pic of you next to the car like I did!

MMM Z8 E52. I have always loved these cars. A friend/client of mine owns one in Luxembourg. Only 5703 were built and as far as I know only in LHD , reason why we didnt get them in SA. They were all hand built and finished in Dingolfing Germany. Uses the same same engine as the E39 M5, S62. Good for 300kw and 500nm, 0-100 in a comfortable 4.5 sec.

Was built as a retro copy of the famous 507, to keep with retro features many electronic switches in the cabin are hidden. Beautiful steering wheel.

To keep values up for buyers and gather intrest BMW promised to keep spares for these vehicles for 50 years. Alpina built a further 555 units, all in auto and funny enough down tuned the engines to 280kw but raised the torque available to 517nm and it being available at lower rpm. The Alpina version was marketed as a boulevardier rather than a sportscar/roadster as per the original BMW model.

I just love the lines and the retro look.. stunning. This to me was one of those BMW concept cars that BMW decided to built due to the publics demand that turned out to be a classic from day one...
