Spotted: 840d - is it rare? (must have been a six...)

Not sure if this is a rare find or not but I have never seen one before.

Was driving on the M3 South near Rondabosch yesterday when I passed a very odd looking bmw. I let it catch up and saw it was a silver 840d with some bmw signage on the side. I must say I prefer the old ones.

Unfortunately I was driving so no pics

Do you mean 640d? Because there was only one 8 series (E31) and it never had a diesel variant.

Are you sure is was a diesel? could be an 840i. Any smoke you saw could have been from your car:biglol:
