The same reason you don't have eBay .... You'll get drive offs like you won't believe.everything here ( motorways anol) is clocked by cameras and the guys still try it on , can you imagine the mayhem.

Last time I was there I stopped at the station and only then realised I have no idea how the system works, also never actually filled my own car before.
Didn't help that we were on our way back from the pub either.
Funniest thing ever, think the attendant thought we were mad.

Thanks for the reassurance but I don't believe in that urban myth. There were some reports on top and fifth gear but the gains are mere vapours .

There's also greater friction on moving parts as all oils become dense too- tyres lose pressure increased risks of accidents... Believe me there are no positives to The British winter

I know I know.
But I must say, I was out with quite a few of the locals there, quite often. Watched them. Of those that needed to drive they never had more than 2 pints. Like clockwork. 2 pints then home.
Kind of assumed it was the accepted norm.

When I was in nz I too had to refuel the campervan myself, then they would think you stupid for knowing exactly how to replace the nozzle and such or whether to pay first or fuel first

Oh, and buy the way, I've lived and driven here for 15 yrs but only topped a ltr of oil in the M for the first time 2 months ago.so, what makes cars in SA use so much of oil apart from having a leak... Is it the heat perhaps
