If it is a threaded type piston, a normal long nose pliers ought to work, otherwise some prying with a fairly large screw driver will work for a conventional piston.

:yuck: had the same issue with my ex Astra. Lucky my dad helped make up one for me. Took more time to make it than to do the brakes!

Try the local midas, autozone, etc. maybe they should have it by now as a lot of the modern cars require it.

Hey Mac55,

Just keep in mind, the one piston wont budge cause it might be a left hand threaded piston. i learnt the hard way on my car. The right rear pushed in no problems, i then moved to the opposite side and battled my @rse off. Eventually popped the piston out and found out it had an opposite hand thread...Dont fiddle too much, try figure out first, you can turn the piston back with a decent pliers or by hand.

Hope it helps.

Thanks everyone for the help I ended up using just a set of long nose pliers to turn the piston and I just needed to apply a lot more force when turning so much so that I had to install the bottom bolt while the caliper was offset but its all done now so thanks again for the help :praise:
