BMW is making just 23 examples of its 'M4 DTM Champion Edition' to celebrate Marco Wittmann winning the 2014 title

If you’re a car manufacturer and you want to celebrate something, you can’t go too far wrong with a fancy limited edition. So, with Marco Wittmann wrapping up the 2014 DTM title while racing for BMW Team RMG, the Bavarian carmaker has decided to release this rather lovely special edition M4.
The oily bits underneath remain unchanged - not that they needed much attention - while the outside has been treated to a distinctive colour scheme and some carbonfibre detailing. All cars will come in Alpine White with a matte black bonnet and boot lid, both of which feature coloured stripes in what looks like a nod to BMW Art Cars of the past.
The tread plates and dashboard feature the signature of Wittmann’s himself, while the doors carry the number 23 - the 24-year-old’s race number. In a futher homage, just 23 will be offered, although it’s likely they will only be sold in Wittmann’s native Germany.
