Clearly the guys that attended have noticed issues that can be rectified, so i believe the organisers would have seen the same.

I doubt holding an event such as this will happen flawlessly, but SSC have stepped up to the plate and taken on this challenge.

In all honestly I wouldn't be surprised.

While I absolutely commend SSC for putting this together, I think they under estimated the response they would get.

A couple of things come to mind.

-Traffic to get in, I believe that the line was up to 2km long, directly impacting those that live in Kyalami Estates.
-The “enthusiastic” driving when entering and leaving created immense noise
-The “race” car that was on display was started up at 12:05am ( I was there) and taken for a quick burst, can you imagine that noise levels and echo outside the track.

I think they under estimated the response they got.

But there is definitely a market for if someone has the cash to set this up.

700m straight.

Do it old school one night, no timing lights or times, first one to the line wins.
And proper on the weekend.

You need enough space for parking.

Food stalls, no alcohol.

Seating stands all the way down the track.

Emergency service for the night.

Etc, Etc, Etc

Should pay off in a year if not sooner with the right events.
