Some windscreen washer help needed

Howsit ladies and gents

Picked up a bit of a problem last night with the windscreen washer of my 95 325i. The wipers work on all three settings (inters, slow, fast). I can hear the relay clicking under the kick panel with the inters on. When the plug connector to the washer pump is connected and I pull the stalk, nothing happens. I don't hear the pump running and the wipers don't do the usual '3 wipe'. When I disconnect power to the pump and pull the stalk then the wipers will go through its motion of 3 strokes.

I've checked the fuses.
I flashed power to the pump through a 15 amp fuse and it runs no smoothly.
And I've tested 12.5 volts coming to the pump plug.

Could it be the pump that's gone bust?

Any ideas would be helpful
Thanks

Check and see if any water comes out under the bonnet somewhere if you pull the stalk for the washers, :ie broken pipes.

If not, most probably the pump.

Bump:

Has anyone had any trouble with this sort of thing. Tried a replacement pump. Fuses are good. If I put power to my pump it spins strongly. Checked the actual swith behind the steering wheel with a multimeter and everything seems good. Eish I'm lost now

Check out page 251, you've got a few things to check:
  • Continuity between pin 2 on the pump connector and pin 10 on the wiper/washer module connector behind the dash
  • Continuity between Pin 11 on the module connector and Pin 5 on the switch connector
  • Continuity between Pin 1 on the switch connector and ground (you know this is OK though, it's used to control the wiper speeds)
  • Continuity between Pin 5 and Pin 1 on the switch with the switch pulled back (if this fails, new stalk needed, but you know this works because the wipers work with the pump unplugged)
  • Continuity between Pins 15 and ground, and 7 and ground on the module connector (not sure if these are somehow used separately by the module to ground the pump)
If all of these things check out, new module is probably needed.

Eventually got around to try g another module and still the issue persists. Next step check every single wire for absolute good contacy

It is usually the pump that goes - a well-known BMW malady - but it seems like this is not hte case here.

Tried a replacement pump already and when putting power directly to my pump(through a 15 A fuse) it squirts like ur favourite porno
