rather get a smaller pulley for the SC and take it to Rolf for tuning it will be money well spent... maybe add WM to it also ...

I bought the cable on ebay and downloaded a flasher and reader on the net I just need to try it out I flashed my car ecu but I don't have another map to see if it really works

Here is a HOT hint:

Read your original file first! It will serve you as a backup in case you stuff your ECU up!

Then you know if it works or not! If you can't read your ECU your software doesn't contain the seed key to "talk" to the ECU .... then all is useless!

Professional readers btw cost in the region of R50.000,- with a yearly subscription fee for protocol and seed key updates of R10.000 per year!

Now compare with how much you've spent for your cable and judge for yourself what chance you have to get things right :idea:

Rolf can I have your email address so I can email you my file .the program I have can't open up my file. ,do you have a supercharge pulley there that I can buy .the only mod I have is a jcw intake I had the software also but I blew a head gasket and mini put back on the normal software because the car doesn't perform anymore

I sincerely hope you enjoyed meeting with freerider and myself this morning

I hope we could clearify a lot of things
Flashing some software to a car isn't the smartest thing to do which you allowed me to proof to you as you car didn't start after flashing "your" internet file

Only the emergency recovery from the backup I made prior to the flashing, allowed us to get your car running again!

I will look into what can be done and call you Monday or Tuesday for further action.

Likewise Chuck, Glad you landed up at the right place

Just like Jarryd that was there with his Seat Leon FR, he had it mapped at a "reputable" local tuner and its had a terrible flat spot ever since. They tell him its because he needs to buy their induction (At an additional R5k). So now he's at Rolf paying to have it sorted out properly :rollsmile:
