Hi Guys

Which software company offers a unit where you can deactivate the map yourself before taking car to dealers.

Problem is we based in PE and don't have the luxury of taking car to workshop to deactivate.

Thanks

Are you sure its a 2006? I was not aware they came out so soon.
You have two options of decent units that you can manually remove or put them in valet mode. The one is a JB3 by burger tuning and the other is a Procede by Vishnu.

Xcede having been proving it on the track that their cars run.

Look at this past sundays results , brand new 135i with Xcede software alone and the guy runs 12.9sec at tartlon.

that is freaking impressive

I must say i find the thought of map switching very intrigueing. So you can flip a switch and go from your standard map to the aftermarket one? Where would the switch go? i'm sure bmw will see the switch? In terms of warranty is this the safest bet? Who gives the best gains with regards to map switching?

the vishnu performance chip is good but we had problems with it in 07 with the car only going in limp mode

we had excede on our x 135i and it worked extremely well,jb3 also seems a good option for plug and play but personally i lyk excede

Another option is ECU upgrade from chip logic. He did my bro's 135i and damn!!!! O.B claimed 70kw and 160nm gain that sounds a bit much but that car was a rocket, my bro raced a chipped m5 E60 and beet it 3 times out of 5 on the quarter mile, software alone. I think I'll go with what i've seen with O.B. Plus its undetectable well so i hear.
