So, the time has arrived.

As mentioned, the time has arrived for me to start the thread.

I recently became the 3rd owner of this 2005 e46 320d individual. Loved my Polo (No, there was no cone filter or any odd things, just a good ol' Polo)but it was time for a car with a boot.

So, along came Raquel, that's what I named her. (Don't ask)

I bought it at 173xxxkm, it now has 175xxxkm.

When I got it, the engine mount was loose/worn and had that replaced by Nige Auto, perfect, no trouble there.

Had the car detailed (Including Interior), polished, waxed and do so every 3rd week.

I have some very small, cosmetic changes that I intend doing.
- Blackout the Kidneys
- Maybe, just maybe, LaminX headlights. Some pics would be great if you've done so.
- Having the wheels refurbed in Hyper Silver, would have it no other way.

That's all for now. Here is a pic or 2 until I get down to doing some actual photos and edits.

So, an update, albeit, a negative one with some positivity coming toward the end.

As many of you may know, we have some severe rains about 1 and a half months ago, which caused some flash "flooding" if that's what it was.

With this, as I approached the entrance to my complex, I hit some standing water after a rather larger than average bump. And, that was the end of my car as we know it.

After tons of hassles with insurance and BMW quoting R246K to replace the engine, it is now at a trusty mechanic specializing in BMW, without insurance paying anything.

As I agreed to replace the engine, he started stripping, and I sourced a new engine, he found that the engine and internals were all fine. As a matter of fact, the concords were good, injectors were new, pistons fine, turbo fine, the problem happened to be the diesel pump, which is now in the process of being assessed and repaired/refurbed.

So, any advice would be REALLY appreciated.

Congrats on you purchase. I love the merc.

Nige is good. I have been using him for years and always get great service.

Chef knows of a place in brakpan I think who could sort out the pump for you. You are quite lucky that its just the pump. Usually water screws up everything.

Place is in Springs, called M&G Advanced Fuel. Speak to Mike, tell him Dyllan from Express Maintenance referred you.

For insurance, my broker is Morne and his number is 076 308 8979. Again, tell him Dyllan referred you. He'll sort you out.
