So I Caught The Modding Bug

Thought I should do something different with my E46 to give it a little spark and verve. I'm not really one for modding, so this is somewhat a new venture - I have an endless list of more things I want to change now. This is a bit of an experiment so i may eventually decide to revert to the old look (which I still love).

The car is still a work-in-progress right now and should be completed in a week.

Here's a sneak peak

Before:

After:

Current Changes:
- Colour Coded Mouldings
- Clear headlamps and LED rears
- Black window trim (was chrome)
- Black Grilles

Future Changes:
- 18" CSL Replicas (Gloss black??)
- De-Cat
- Carbon Fiber Roundels
- H&R Springs
- Sound System Upgrade (From H/K)
- 328i Badge removal

Will post up some more pictures when fully completed, let me know what you think so far

 Good stuff.

Any vids of the car after a de-cat

Will definately post a pic up when that is done! Just focussing on finishing up the aesthetics right now! Trying to find a good deal on rims.

Looks awesome!!!!

I have LED Tail lights for the E46 if you are looking to change those

Thanks, will let you know. The ones on now look great, but they look a bit too aftermarket imo. Maybe they'll grow on me.

It's the sort of look im going for. They are narrows and wides and the seller is looking for 7,800rand. 8.5J up front and 9.5J rear - im looking for a staggered set-up....would these fit comfortably?

Ok, so the car is done. Managed to find myself a set of temporary 17inch wheels aswell while I wait for CSL replicas. Will take some better photos later on and post them up in "The Showroom" Section.

So what's been done?
- Matte Black Grills
- Black Trim
- Colour Coded Mouldings
- New Headlights
- New Taillights
- Golf Tee Mod (Flap in the exhaust is open permanently, deeper sound at low RPM)
- 17inch Style (who knows, they were a lucky find) 225/45 all round

Had a bit of an argument at our local vehicle inspection centre (Road Traffic) with the guy in charge, kept saying there is no way my car is a 1999 and he would only proceed with the inspection and issue my new plates if I brought the comprehensive paperwork for the vehicle that showed its true details (he put it down as a 2003) :roflol:. Anyway, so I've been rolling around with no plates until that issue is sorted.

Mission accomplished.

What a transformation! I kinda like your headlights hey! Definately looks like 03 lol

As they aren't OEM, I was a bit sceptical on how the headlights would look. They are growing on me by the day though, their black accents match the rest of the car really well.

Nice going so far :=):

I see you are a bit far away, but if you are ever thinking of selling your original headlights I would be willing to take them off your hands.

Thank you all :ty: I still have the left headlight as someone already called dibs on the right. The Xenons still work perfectly.
