smash and grab

Good day
I can see that my windows have a slight tint on them but I do not know if it is smash and grab or just tint. Is the a way to find out?

I drive out sometimes laptop DSLR etc in the car and just want to keep it safe.

I would have said pm secondskynz, but remember seeing a few quality and customer service related complaints on this forum.

I would advise you to go to a place like Glasfit. They do Smash and Grabs.

always safer to keep stuff like that in the boot...
smash and grab isn't smash proof, just means takes a bit longer to get through but they can do it, especially if you stuck in traffic and they want it bad enough.

Yep, safest is to put stuff out of sight, but not always most practical. I would let a glass fit check it out for you - I am sure they would have a way of telling.

am also not 100% sure if I have smash and grab. What i hav noticed though is that when I put my polarized sunglasses on, I see what almost looks like spots on tinted windows. Smash and grab/tinted glass looks different than untinted glass when wearing polarized sunglasses. (or so I think - either that, or my sunglasses are defective  )

But I am still not 100% sure.

I've noticed this as well. But not all cars have these "dots", so there must be something to it... :fencelook:

go 20% tint on the back windows so the only time someone will see whats in the boot is if they press their face against the glass and shield their eyes. Even then its difficult to make out what is in the boot. Did so to my touring, 35% front 2 windows and 20% the rest, couldn't be happier.:praise:
