Small update.

Congrats!!! Awesome machines!

The 1M looks like it has much more aggressive rear arch's as compared to the M2. Is it the angle of the pic?

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

So in my humble opinion the wide arches are definitely more pronounced on the 1M, the rear track width is bigger but "marginally" on the M2. They share the exact same wheel and tyre dimensions too.

But the 1M's arches and M2 arches are of the same concept but definitely much different in excecution. 1M more of a stretch in the lower end to primarily accommodate the wheels, a la group B and old touring cars. Whereas the M2 is more of a boxier construct(not in overall stance, just the arches) and in certain colours the pronounced arches are less visible but the arch definitely starts much higher in M2.

Thanks for all the kind words. A thousand odd kilometers down so still trying to abide by break in rules. Just a quick one, anyone's input will be appreciated. So before I got the car, I had remarked to my dealer that I'd like to have the rims sprayed black. When it arrived, they said they're reluctant to as 437M rim is diamond cut. To be honest I didn't even do my homework here so I let that slide.

Now I've had a bit of a horror time with BMW SA recently(completely unrelated to the rim thing), not my dealer, but head office. So I'm almost certain I'll get rid of car and get something else when that gets revealed. Anyways long story short, I've been reading about dipping of rims etc. and firstly I've read that power washes should be avoided, also any petrol spills will damage the finish. To be honest, we all humans and these things happen.

So anyone can recommend a superior product/shop who provides the dipping service and who to steer clear of? Would really be appreciated as if it's temporary and when I get rid of the car I want everything to be reversalble. Thank you kindly folks.
