I've got a vibration on my car an e46 when driving 170km/h or more. Just wondering what that might be. Lower control arm bushes ; high speed balancing or what else can that be....:excited:
mayb...just mayb its coz u doing 170 haha could be anything from tires to bushings control arms tie rods or even a bent rim but if you dont have it at normal speeds i rate its all gd
bro, just check that rubber coupling out carefully for cracks. You do not want that bitch breaking at 170... Picture the prop shaft coming astray at those RPM's...
Had exactly the same problem above 140Km but my discs were worn, replaced the discs no more vibration what so ever. It could easily be bushings, rods etc
My question rephrased: People talk of balancing wheels. This is where they put the wheel on the machine and tap some weights on to balance the wheel. What is the difference between 'normal' balancing and 'high speed' balancing?
High Speed Balancing they do with the wheel on the car. They jack up the wheel then put a machine that spins the wheel beneath the tyre at a high speed that check the balancing with a light that flashes similar like a timing light. Then they put on the weights etc.
