Hi Everyone
Earlier this year I met Sith at Auto Atlantic while he was having his M5 serviced. We spoke about his M5 and his beloved 530MLE - it was immediately clear that Sith was a true BMW fanatic.
Initially he mentioned he was extremely pedantic about his cars and even showed me this by giving me a walk through of every concern he had of his M5 and from there we discussed detailing his classic beauty.
Days passed by and eventually I got my paws on the car, having the pleasure of driving it from his house in Camps Bay through to my apartment in Hout Bay where I was to work on the car.
The drive was an experience I will never forget. Terrified because of the significance of the car and also terrified of the prospect that should anything happen to this BMW - I would be murdered by Sith.
The drive itself was absolutely spectacular. Smooth, refined and timeless. It felt as though I had just driven the car off the showroom floor - The gears were fluid (and confusing) and the ride was firm yet also comfortable.
Parked at my apartment:
Sith not only loves this car, but his attention to detail, his passion for perfection is something I have not seen in a long time. Spotting flaws in the car which many would not even notice, brown fade on the seats for example.

I finished with the car, which to begin with was absolutely immaculate with only minor swirling and marks and took her for a photoshoot. The car spends its nights locked in a garage, draped in a cover which is carefully peeled away when the car is on show.
No matter the area, or the crowd this car attracted and deserved huge amounts of attention. People would literally stare as you drove past, never-mind those who came over to have a look from afar.
Unfortunately during the detail there was an altercation with the drivers seat though. Sith however was understanding yet I knew he was devastated as he wanted his BMW perfect for the upcoming BMW event.
Sith, I let you down with promises of photos which never materialized. This is something I am not proud of and I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures in this thread.
Thank you for your sympathy and kindness (even though I damaged your BMW) when my MINI broke down metres from your house, three hours later BMW Assist did eventually arrive.
I am burning these as we speak and they will be in your post box before end day tomorrow.
To the fanatics out there, Sith truly has set the standard.
