Guys lets not go off topic , Van der Graaf exhaust is probably big bux :thumbdo: and this rear silencer removal is like just fitting straight pipes

Unfortunately its not THAT easy.... remove or replace rearbox and get 8kw for free doesn't work!

The whole exhaust is a well defined system and it is compulsory to have fundamental knowledge of what is going on in an automotive system!
Lots of calculations needed to get a "legal" system perform in Europe.

Their "Export Versions" are much crunchier (noisier) but pricing depends on development time and time equals money...... thats for the "why are systems so expensive" question :=):

Yep..hard to believe i know but that's according to the dyno runs and I was like Wooooow:tease:
Anyway...my car pushed 162kw before the box and after the box it pushed 170kw on the same dyno at zeemax..and the difference in accelaration and performance:praise::praise:
But dont take my word for it...just my own personal xperience with this backbox i've put on my car:thumbs:

same day dyno run?

Nope...2 months apart...but like i said..i dunno the ins and outs and how it works but that's the figures i got..
In the 2 months apart there was nothing else done to the car as well..
all my other dyno runs before all this i was in the 150 to 160kw bracket

154kw standard
3 months late..UniQ chip plus decat= 162kw
2months after that...Van der Graaf backbox= 170kw

this is what led me to believe that I gained 8kw :fencelook:
Also the performance i got after the backbox was very noticable.

Van der Graaff backbox is not expensive. Cost the same as any other backbox but as its a generic product of RGM you are well off fitting one. I wanted to fit one but the pre f/l e46 exhaust system goes from two pipes and merges into one, The Van der Graaff box uses two inlets and twin pipes at the back.
