Hi
What is the best shock absorber option for the e39?

Picked up my front right shock is leaking at the shaft. Going to get it tested today.

I have a set of monroes fitted at speedy IIRC. Going well for about 2 years now, but from your post it seems like you are looking for something different than stock?

Dont care much what brand. Have heard that some brand dont as good on some cars, so just asking.

I had KYB on my previous car(nissan) and they served me well.

Shock test show all 4 corners is still good. They said must just keep an eye on the leak and get test done every few weeks.

i had a set of Monroes put in by Supaquick, cost about R2200 iirc, about 6 months ago and am very happy so far. Could get Armstrongs for slightly less but opted to go for Monroes
