She's Gone...

lol i'm glad to see a strong reaction from the e39 community:ty:

A lot of time and money has been spent on the car. It was probably one of the nicest all-round non-M5 5's imo, and I was not planning on selling.

I was however made a very decent offer by a non-forumite which, considering what these go for these days (and what I've put into it) would've been stupid not to consider.

@Samman325 - couldn't post in for sale section. Minimum post requirements not met.

This is a first time offer...

You may climb into the boot yourself, without being forcefully mangled in there by myself and the other E39 owners, in order to retain some form of dignity. Please contact me to make arrangements.

Such a beaut of an e39. Hopefully the new owner can keep this car in the good condition you gave it to him.

I looked at this thread a few times and almost cried trying to comprehend what it must have been like seeing that beautiful E39 go!

In comparison, what is it like driving the E90?

I would imagine that you are going to miss the E39 very much over time!

And, now please share the spoils with us! I mean, the E39 spares with us! :=):

Just awaiting confirmation on what spares are left in storage at my folks in the cape. Will post on up on here soon enough.

E90 has been really great. I love the looks. The engine is awesome, and I'm actually enjoying the ride quality coming from the coilovers I had in the 5-series, mostly because I have actual ground clearance -its very underrated :roflol:.

Definitely no regrets!

It's interesting how we become emotionally involved in our cars. I lost unexpectedly a favourite car about eighteen months ago and found myself going through the classic seven stages of grief, which took about a year to get over; not something I had expected at all.

Small world, it's in witbank now,i'm working on it atm. the new owner did not take much care of it.head is cracked

Whats that pink sticker below the door? And does the new owner drive the car from the back seat? Guess he was too far away from the temp gauge to see it overheating...
