Hi Guys and Gals,

I have been led to beleive that it shares a similar spec with Mobil 1 :thinker:

My sump takes 7 liters, so to save big time moola I bought 3 x 5ltrs = R539.85 and thats enough for 2 services baby and top-ups :thumbsup:

I reckon its such a good deal I should share it with the forum!!

And no - I do not work for Midas :nono:

Mineral base or synthetic ?
I thought Mobil 1 was synthetic .
E30 325i did test with mobil 1 in England and did something like 1 million miles , not all on the road though .
Checked BMW CAR magazine July 2009 pg 72-77, test was on rolling road from 1991 to Oct 1995 . Mobil 1 is synthetic
Mobil engineers found " virtually all the major components were within spec for a new 325i engine "

HX7 is a blend

API-SM, same as Mobil 1 but cheaper, obviously not as good a Mobil 1 but I'm using HX7 now and the 540 seems to like it.

eish, 500 bucks for 15 litres ? I've been using 5W30 Castrol LL01 bmw spec, its fully synthetic ... cept its like 70 bucks a litre.
