Service

Car deal with BMW service, quoted 7500 on a service for an E90. Anyone know anywhere cheaper around Eastrand.

That would also depend on what is being serviced for that amount (is it oil & filters...or does it include your brakes and so on)

Which e90 is it?.....that also makes a difference

Parts like your Oil and filters are reasonably priced at the dealers....

It's oil, filters & plugs. The car is a 2010 E90. The parts are not bad themselves expect plugs which cost R1000 for 4. Labour they are charging R3300, this to me is insane esp in Jan.

A basic service (oil, oil filter and air filter) is really not rocket science. Even brake pads are easy. Changing spark plugs is a bit of a hassle on modern cars but doable. Do it yourself, save cash for beer, feel good. Leave complicated stuff like coolant flush and brake fluid changes to the pros if you doubt your abilities. They don't need to be done that often, anyway.

That quote is very similar to mine.
R8300 for and oil service + Rear brake pads.

DIY isnt an option for me, the complex does not allow for this.

Are there any known people I can take it to in the Sandton/Woodmead area?

+1 on this. I managed to DIY all filters, oil and brake pads by watching a few YouTube videos on an E90. This was done with basic tools, and didnt take long (it will probably take even less time next time, cuz I know how to do it now)

Car still went in for a quality check to be sure, but those items are really simple and you will save a fortune on labour.

So a few YouTube videos, service kit from BM & a few spanners later, I managed a DIY service on my car. Easy job except that 4th plug positioned right at the end where there's no space.

Well done bud, I've never had the courage to work on anything on my cars. The most complex thing I'd ever done was change blown headlight bulbs on my E90:clapper:
