Hi Members
As the Topic states I have some questions with regards to Service Options, I am sure this may have been covered before but I just can't find anything.
All my previous car's had been serviced by Agents (In and out of Plan)
My question is, does Servicing a car at a Non-Dealer company affect the Resale Value of the vehicle?
Now days you can have your car taken to a Dealer\Service center and pick the bellow options,
1. Have parts supplied at cost + staff discount and negotiate with a mechanic to pull your car into the work shop and have the service\part changed at a huge discounted rate that the dealer would generally charge, down fall to this is if someone had to call in and supple the Reg\Vin number the Service\Part change would not reflect even though you have the booked stamped and the recite for the parts only.
2. Book in your car at the dealer and pay a premium for labor and parts and have it logged on there system and the service book stamped.
3. Take your car to a well known service center and get them to fit parts you bough from a Dealer and charge you labor and stamp your service book and file and log that your car had been to them (When you sell and the buyer calls to confirm work done it can be referenced to exactly what was done).
4. Take your car to a well known service center and let them supply the parts and labor ETC. at a rate that should be significantly cheaper than the agents.
With Resale value in Mind mostly, which is the better option?
With out Resale in mind which would be the better option?
Please add to the list were you can also
