Service interval not dropping f30

My service interval is not going down i.e. it is still sitting on 30 000km for next service when I start the vehicle. Spoke to my bud and he says that is not normal as it supposed to be about 26000 kms now after driving 4000 kms. Called BMW on cal first they brushed it aside and said maybe it is my driving style and I explained surely it supposed to go down abit. Then they said I should have it checked by a dealer. I call Club Motors to find out , same bull about my driving style. I insist there is a problem, so lady says I can come around and they can do a computer diag without booking. Drive freaking 12kms get there, the service manager calls the technical guy who arrogantly says it needs to be booked in. What a waste. The service manager asks me to hand over the keys and then asks me stupid questions like is my bonnet open, I say no, then she asks is my tyres inflated, I say yes, then she asks is my engine oil low and I tell her none of my christmas lights are on and according to the on board computer everything is 100s. I had to book it in for Wednesday. German engineering my foot. Also showing problems with
DSC etc hopefully a software issue. The hopeless people who I asked at the service desk said they can't offer me a courtesy car if the job is longer than a day tell me no because I did not buythe vehicle there. BMW sucks.

:fencelook: no manufaturer will give you a car for just a service (one day) - only if you have brought the car in for serious issue where they need to keep the car in for longer, they just to dumb to explain that to you.

what I think they mean about drive style - the sensors have probaly picked up that the oil is posibly contaminated and needs changing early, the rest is standard question they have told to ask, monkey see monkey do. you will be

True, but at least you know your car is being looked after properly and you are valued as a client

I meant if they keep the car for longer than a day. All those questions were asked as the key reports all those problems.

My dad's e90 325 did exactly the same thing. Service interval indicator did not drop in the first few 1000 kms.

The car was bought new in April 2006, and I had it checked out in about July or so of that year.

I booked it in with the dealership, and they checked it out, and said it is 100% correct. no problems at all.

Eventually it did start to drop, and eventually did smooth out properly.

You are driving her very nicely it seems. Just take it easy and even if you don't do a lot of mileage, service your car annually none the less. I don't trust those stupid service indicators and nor BMW's service intervals. :thumbdo: They suck.

As soon as my car went out of MP because of the year & not the mileage, I ensure that I drop the oil every 12000km's.

mine dropped like a rocket, started at 30000, and after 8800km on the odo it says service due in 3800km. Well that is for the front brake pads though, the oil still says change at 30k.

It all depends on how one drives their car. I can say that if I drive really nicely for say a week, the interval doesn't drop. Then if I give it the beans a few times in a day it will drop by 1000km. Its quite a cleaver system but stupid at the same time. I guess its just an indicator at the end of the day.

:yuck::argh: bloody idiots @ Club Motors Randburg, car went in yesterday and all they did was adjust wipers. Say a ticket is opened with BMW Puma team (technical services) for wind noise and computer issue. I had to take it there again today to get computer software reinstalled asked about wind noise and say that is not covered under motor plan they have to wait for BMW as that is part of warranty not sure how many more trips are involved in getting this hunk of junk car sorted.

I think they tralking bull. I said I am not happy they say if I am not happy I must take it back to the place where I bought it, bunch of pri#ks.
