Service centers for Landrovers

Hi guys

My mum's Freelander 2 needs a major service done. She's based in Durban.

The Landrover dealerships quoted her a ridiculous price (as can be expected) and so wanted to know if anyone can recommend a good, RMI approved workshop where she can get it done, who won't charge an arm and a leg. Her Freelander is a late 2012 model with about 58000km. Very sentimental vehicle since it's the last car my dad bought before he passed away in 2013.

Up in GP we use a crowd called Three Lions, brilliant workmanship and know all about Landy;s there is to know. I am not sure if they would be able to point you to anybody in DBN, may be worth giving them a shout to find out. Speak to Nick 011 805 0016

For reference purposes and future Landy owners, I've made contact with The Centre, based in Glen Anil, off Old North Coast Rd in Durban. They've been around since the 50's and specialize in Landy's and Jags. They're charging R5300 for a major service including the fuel filter; normal service excluding the fuel filter is R4300. For comparison purposes, CMH Landrover Umhlanga charged around R11000 for the service.

As part of the service, The Centre also does an oil flush and 101 point check among a few other tasks not carried out by the dealer. Dealt with Darryl Pillay, who has over 9 years OEM experience at CMH Landrover in Umhlanga. Top ou.
