What's the general mileage variation dealers allow on bringing a car in for service?

I think they give a 500km tollerance past the due date

this is correct and what i was told when i asked the dealer the question. they did say it was bmwsa's policy.

When my 3 was still on MP, I believe I took it way past that once; probably in the region of 2000-3000km over -- it ticked over on a trip from CT to JHB to CT. They didn't question it at all. But maybe policy has changed in later years.

I think it's around 1000km's, but if im not mistaaken doesn the yellow service sign turn red on the OBC when overdue?

1000 kms over on the diesel I was told.

Any more and they said they have to flush the system. Would have still serviced under motorplan though.
