you could very well have finished all the fuel if you were driving like sebastian vettel.

remember that youre driving a 6 cylinder. all that power, and that sound makes you wanna drive the car fast always. Downside is that it gulps the fuel, not sipping it.

the fact that you were out of fuel and the car indicated 1/4 tank is probably a sensor issue. dunno what the costs are, but it cant be too bad.

i would sort the sensor (or whatever else it is) 1st its not fun running out of fuel...

i drive the crap out of my car and i have never seen such high consumption... i dont really sit in traffic though...

i never drove faster than 140km/hour...... and cruising through gears taking it easy...... uhmm is there any treads i can have a look out to check the sensors myself?? i'm dumb when it comes to mechanical work but with a bit of reading & pictures i'm sure id be able to do it

i have not seen a thread but do a search on changing to fuel level sensor... if nothing come up on the forum try google it... it should not be a hard job

Your fuel level sensor in the fuel tank on the driver's side, under the back seat is faulty. Check it out but be careful when replacing the unit as the seal must be fitted carefully to the tank before inserting the replacment unit.

Its a job you should be able to do yourself
