To ensure that the SAP BW and BO modules are supported and configured to meet operational needs, e.g. alignment of applications, processes and business rules, performance factors, etc. Develop and document detailed processes and designs, specific to area of expertise.
Accountability: Service Delivery Outputs to deliver this accountability:
• Manage the full lifecycle of the product: performance, usage, replacement strategy, maintenance and enhancement by keeping abreast of the SAP product developments
• Ensure optimum delivery, maintenance and support of the product by engaging with all relevant business and support areas.
• Ensures design delivered meets business requirements by signing off on the process documentation
• Identify business scenarios for testing by engaging with business users
• Coordinate conceptual design efforts across processes by following end to end process view
• Configure SAP solution according to signedoff designs
• Create configuration documentation as per standards defined by
• Provide knowledge transfer in terms of process design and system configuration by conducting training sessions with users and team members.
• Conduct workshops and presentations to validate business processes and Enterprise Core Components (ECC) solutions with the end user community and signoff discussion
• Adhere to the Change process for developments through participation in the Change Control signoff
• Update status in Solution Manager on a regular basis
• Actively identify functionality gaps by looking at the end to end processes and propose improved solutions for area of expertise
• Measure delivery of business benefits by ensuring the relevant metrics are built into the processes
• Identify gaps in standards and policies by benchmarking against industry practices and communicate these to Business / Process Owners
• Adhere to process documentation and templates by completing the compulsory paperwork prior to making changes in the system.
• Ensure deliverables adhere to quality standards by ensuring thorough testing of developments
• Keep track of all assigned projects, problems, changes, escalations provide regular progress updates or feedback to BW Team lead and stakeholders within the agreed timelines.
• Attend to process chain standby duties and follow correct escalation procedure as defined by Team Lead on any issues impacting the agreed SLA with business.
Accountability: Risk and Compliance Management Outputs to deliver this accountability:
• Ensure that the SAP application meets its compliance requirements from a SOX, regulatory, audit and risk point of view by adhering to business policies and rules e.g. segregation of duties on invoice capturing
• Adhere to all Compliance requirements
Accountability: SAP System Stability Outputs to deliver this accountability:
• Manage all transports relating to SAP BW and BO developments and configurations in line with Basis guidelines
• Proactively action your allocated house keeping tasks to Earlywatch recommendations to maintain a yellow status.
• Proactively identify gaps and issues in the BW or BO system and resolve these by implementing appropriate best practice solutions.

• Ensure successful execution of SAP projects within time, budget and quality through regular feedback and review, identification and correction of deviations.
• Initiate new ideas by proactively indentifying, recommending and implementing new value add solutions in agreement with business.

• Adhere to project scope, templates and documentation as prescribed by the project
• Conduct proper unit and systems integration testing e.g. testing a developed report
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and incident resolution to ensure quality of work delivered is according to specifications
