Hi Guys

What do you, do when you get a screw in your run flat tyre is there a way to put a plug in it or do you have to replace the tyres?

Can plug it.

I have plugged my TFT before with no issues.

It will depend on if there is any damage to the sidewall after running them flat.

The screw is in the first grove in the thread where can I take it in the four ways area?

Get them to use a mushroom plug, which is fitted from the inside of the tyre and you good to go

I think you can go to any old service station - about 40 bucks

Plugging of a RFT is the same as conventional tyre with the exception that you would be more cautious with distance from the sidewall...

Don't waste your time at TWT... Overpriced and incapable. 3hrs and 2 attempts later, couldn't get wheel alignment right. and they charge more for the same services on BMW than for those on other cars :thumbdo:

This I would only use in an emergency as its not the same as a mushroom plug that actually is patched from the inside as it is pulled through the hole

+1!

Wouldn't want to be driving the car as it was designed to be driven (on a private test track, of course ;-) ) and wondering whether my Mica kit will hold up or not. Mushroom plugs are the 1, but not from TWT.
