Was it a double cab? Their brakes are crap. I almost rammed into another car in my dad's DC two weeks ago when traffic suddenly stopped. Safe following distance is 5 cars for these monsters. If you have one behind you, ensure you have a big enough gap in front of you so as to give the DC enough braking space as well.

Force of habit now is to look behind me before I brake.. Unfortunate that it took this incident to learn that lesson. As they say, the best lessons are the hardest :thumbdo:

It's the smart thing to do but sometimes you have no choice. I managed to stop in time but the Land Rover behind me got rammed into by the car behind it. He had no choice but to brake hard behind me because he was +/-2 car lengths behind.

I was stationary at a red robot, the DC behind me wanted to shoot the robot and expected me to do the same.. Had I seen him, I would've just shot the robot, as the intersection was clear.. They say hindsight is 20/20 and that is the truth. I do agree that in some instances it can't be helped, especially on the highways/freeways during peak traffic.

sorry bud this happened to me 2 years ago was in my Atos standing still at a robot and bakkie smacked me from behind, I was pissed off !!! I am sorry to say these bakkie drivers think they are unstoppable in their bakkies. They have a kind of attitude that makes them think that they can push any one off the road and their bakkies can corner like rally cars and have the best ABS in the world.

Sad where is your car getting repaired ? I am sure it will look good as new

The car is at Lyndhurst ARC, I went there, and it looks like a pretty good place.

I feel like the car is in good hands there :)
