running costs

hi guys, can anyone help me in establishing what costs are there for the maintenance of the bmw 1 series. i am a 1st time car buyer am looking at getting a second hand 2008 model. Please give me the maintenance price breakdown , thanks

Firstly, welcome to the forum. It will mostly depend on who does the work, and your service/maintenance plan. I've found that parts prices are now on a par with most other brands, and good aftermarket stuff is available. Don't overthink it, just close your eyes and buy it, unless you find a better one. hiya to start with 2008 should still have motorplan until 2013, unless there was a reason, get a printout of the history it will give you a breakdown of what has happened in the cars life.
if its not on MP - it will say why it was taken off.
therefore if still on Mp - Nothing for the remainder - or you can extend the motorplan to give you piece of mind.
if its not on - its not very expensive to maintain - without out going to the stealers. Just be wary if its off MP. :thumbs:

Thanks for the reply, do you know what bmw motor plans generally cost. If not on a plan how much does a service cost and after how many km's must it be serviced

it is a 120i and the other a 116i
