Run in oil change

Whatsup guys, just got back from the stealership. I went in for a voluntary oil and oil filter change. The M-Lite has just done about 2200km now.
Curious to know, how many fanatics also performed voluntary run in oil change on their rides?

I personally feel that I will always have an "old school" mentality and won't just rely on CBS to take care of my baby.

Sure BMW won't cover it, but its a small price to pay, considering long term benefits.

All my cars that I have purchased new went for an oil change after a 1000km's.
The 1M went when it had around 1300km's on the clock. They changed engine oil, gearbox oil and diff oil and filters.

I'd say thats well done be BMW. Cause you never know what happens at the factory. Plus its nice to do a flush

Do you have the "1 Series M Coupe Supplementary Owner's Manual"? It's all in there about the run in service and run in period.

I have it thanks Sp33dy, sorry to hi jack your thread Sanesh. I will claim that back. It's more about the principal. Guess ill be ordering my akra exhaust some where else as well.

:nono: BMW has stopped the Akrapovic exhaust on the 1M. Something to do with quality.

Think so, and it eventually gets a small hole on the exhaust or something. :dunno:
