Hi
I have a e90 325i 2009 with Run flat continentals.
Can I replace this with normal tyres or does this not work on the standard bmw mags? If I do so how would I store spare wheel?:hammerhead:
What is the cost of second hand run flats is this even worth it?

Or should I just in buying mags and tyres for my beemer to get away from Run flat technology?

Thank you

Hi there

Tyres are still good - continental 225/45/17 - not in need now.
Is you price based on new or second hand - what the R?
Where can I possible get a key for my lock nut on my standard mag wheel

New tyres.....whatever size u want i can give u a quote, excludes fitment and that but u can do that anywhere....i am based in JHB south.

For the key i have no idea, probably have to try bmw or maybe tyre fitment places can help u out?

Runflats are actually not that expensive in 17 inch sizes. But you can fit normal tyres to the car too,the ride would actually then be a lot softer and more comfortable than with the RFT tyres.

You can most definitely put normal tyres, you'll have a much smoother ride, only downside you'll have to get a spare. i got myself a space saver (biscuit) spare so i still have a boot. i seen one for sale in the parts section.

you can also try out the aftermarket run flats such as Pace, they are sometimes a good 30percent cheaper than conti's

try SATyre distributors in cape town

I have non runflat tires on my E90. The ride quality has improved a bit, and they are cheaper. Only downside is you need a biscuit or a full size spare wheel if you going this route. I dont mind tho, as I barely ever use my boot, and I have peace of mind
