Rubber Odour

2006 3201 E90. My car was stationery for 7 weeks whilst overseas. The engine was started and run for 5 minutes once a week.
On my first drive thereafter there was a slight ''rubber smell'' for a very short period. In the last three weeks the smell recurred maybe twice. Can anyone advise me what to look for?

Wheel Spin usually causing such "rubber smell"

Maybe emanating from the pulleys, belts.
Could also be early warning signs of improper wear on a part in the engine bay.

Would watch it closely.
Experience has taught me, that these things are not to be ignored.

Also check to see if nothing came loose or was chewed off by a rat and is now cooking on the exhaust manifold.

it might have been there all the time before but you had gotten used to it and didnt notice it, but now its all new smells.
