technical Battery drain issue

I have a 2013 BMW F30 320i sportline with an N20 engine. I’ve owned this car for the past 6 years and have just recently (last couple weeks) been getting a warning message to advise the Battery Is being discharged while stationary. This message appears whenever I switch off the car “Battery Discharged Start Engine”. When it started I took it to my mechanic who did a software update and it went away for about 3 weeks. It has started again this week.

Anyone have any advice on how to diagnose the drain issue? Or what the most probable cause would be? I have had the battery replaced about 2 years ago with a brand new original BMW battery.

Note the car starts up fine with no issues but after driving (long or short distances) I get the warning when I switch it off.

Thanks. The tracking device I have has been in the vehicle since I got it. How would I track it down as I would not know where the unit is placed.

You'll have to get hold of the company who installed it as they will have on their system where it is located.
This makes even more sense as the older ones are more problematic.
