Its currently broken looking for a quality water pump bmw quoted me R2300 with me taking my old pump in I was like not a fark :RedNo:

So went and did some work on my car. So from a street drivable driftcar. I have decided to go all out !!!

I stripped out the wiring and gonna get a custom panel made

Only left cutoff plugs with some wire for the brake switch and rear lights all the rest will have no wires. I don't plan on using front lights or indicators either. Just gonna put dummies

Cluster is going to be a 4in 1 monster tach with shift light.

I also have no dash board lol

So I really want it to the minimum

Wiring is so bloody heavy I took it all out !!!

Did some work on my racecar today

Decided to cutout the metal behind where the rear seats were. So when I do my cage it's gonna be easy and for weight savings too

This piece of metal weighs around 7kg and I also plan on deleting the spare wheel well and getting a fiberglass boot and roof skin

No I have a lexan rear window and plan to put a fiberglass boot. I also plan on putting in a full cage which should tighten things up

Good progress - however, just a question. Where are you locating your fuel tank? If its in the boot, the nice piece of metal you cut out may have provided a flame/fire barrier.

I was thinking the boot with a heat shield cover like the racecars have.

But that means each time I wanna fill up I need to remove my boot and if I get a wing that attaches to the chassis that will be kak.

So I plan on using the stock tank with a surge tank

Well the guy I took it too due to the lack of funds I had told him to take it slow. But ended up being too slow lol

Planing for end of the year hopefully

But it's not a simple motor swap still have a lot of custom work to be done that is not related to the motor

yeah I hear you man, when doing a big build, plenty unforeseen things come up and alter plans and then the money factor comes in.. best of luck to you bud, it looks like its going to be a machine
