Wow. Just read this entire thread from start to finish. What an amazing project this is.

Goodluck transplanting all that suspension goodies into the vert. Cant wait for more.

Picked up my new front brakes today

They from a f30. The discs are 340mm. And the calipers are 4 pot. There is still enough bite on the pads just need the custom brackets fabricated.

I am converting the rear solid rotors to vented ones from an e36 as I still wanna run 15" in the rear for spinning and drifting wheels since the tyres are cheap

So pulled the motor we found that the chassis was bent more than I thought.

So looked around was gonna be a sketchy thing to fix I decided to sell as is. Kept the clutch and gearbox thou.

Look at the chassis leg and sway bar position and condition.

So back with the sedan unfortunately but at least I made something from the vert which helps lol

Another update clutch is done. It's a custom unit cost me r1100 lol cheap performance ftw

Ah Man, that really sucks...but at least you didnt make rash decisions and get rid of the sedan...

School fees my friend, school fees is what they call 'em...Trust me, I have had my fair share.

Regarding your clutch plate...please tell me more - My Fathers fiat is up and running now, but the pressure plate collapsed with the button clutch setup we had so we reverted back to a stock clutch as we got pricing of over 4.5k for a clutch and pressure plate setup. Would appreciate it if you could share the details...The car comes into boost strong, and all of the sardine the clutch lets go...So no more power wheel spin.

Either way bud, progress progress and progress - you put so much effort into your original build, at least its not to much time wasted.

Get back at it.

not sure about offset but I think they from a e39 5 series and they are 17" narrow and wides

So been looking for a brake combo to run as those calipers are flippen huge and I to fit them under 17" wheels.

F30 sport on top E46 m3 at the bottom lol

Here are the specs. Inside of the rim I only have 340mm so it's going to be interesting lol

Specs of front rotors
F30 M Sport - 370 x 30
E46 M3 - 325 x 28
E36 M3 - 315 x 28
E36 325i/328i - 286 x 22
E46 330i - 325 x 25
E90 330i - 330 x 24
E90 335i std - 348 x 30

I am gonna try use the E46 M3 combo with the 4 pot calipers

I doubt you will have the clearance for those callipers on a 17" wheel. The stock e46 m3 calliper just barely clears a 17" wheel and that is much smaller in comparison to what you want to fit.
