"The newest addition to the Mini family is said to be the most exclusive special edition the brand has launched. The Mini inspired by Goodwood blends Rolls-Royce luxury with the Mini driving experience and is now on sale in South Africa in limited numbers.

A mere 1000 will be produced for the world market and eager customers should place their order ASAP because only 10 will make it to South Africa. It will be sold locally at just over R511 000.

WORKING TOGETHER

The collaboration between Mini and Rolls-Royce design teams resulted in the Goodwood-inspired car to have top-grade materials and high levels of workmanship to provide a luxurious charisma and a high-quality ambience.

The interior reflects the exterior's intended luxury, with specially materials and precise craftsmanship. The dashboard, central console, air vents, carpets, heated lounge-leather seats, roof lining, doors and interior cladding all have the Rolls-Royce colour Cornsilk.

Certain surfaces, made in Goodwood, are finished in burr walnut, a premium wood trim exclusive to Rolls-Royce. It also has cashmere roof lining, sun visors and rear storage tray as well as deep-pile lambswool mats – a feature in current Rolls-Royce models.

OTHER SPECS

Power comes from a 1.6-litre, 135kW four-cylinder turbocharged engine.

Standard equipment includes xenon adaptive headlights, parking radar, auto aircon, trip data computer, satnav and audio system. The car also comes with Mini’s three-year or 75 000km motorplan and a two-year, unlimited distance warranty."

Seriously?

I'm very curious about some of the meetings that take place at car manufactures' corporate headquarters... meet the people that sign off on such products and ask their bosses how come such people still have jobs

This sorta makes sense though. Small city cars are becoming more and more popular, sensable and PC. If you have lots of dosh burning a hole in your pocket. You are hip and cool... and worth 10 Million Euro... You would not settle for a Fiat 500.

That is a bit much for a 1600cc Peugeot engine.......
for that money I would rather buy a 308GTB which shall appreciate in value constantly.
