Roadtrip tomorrow

So tomorrow I'm taking Itachi to KZN via Richards Bay down to Durban, up PMB and home.

What's the best route to use?
I'm planning on using N17 via Secunda, Piet Retief, then N2 to Pongola towards Durban. Are there still roadworks on this route?

yep there is,about 2 if I remember correctly, last went there in Feb.

I did not go that way on my way there the Saturday morning, and coming back the Sunday morning I just handed them the card to swipe and went on my way, cause I was very babelas and mommy was waiting at home, cause I said I will just go watch the game and come home.

The roadworks closer to Pongola were cleared up on my return trip, so there shouldn't be any, it's an awesome route to take, nice twisties too... be careful of cows... loads of goats but they have a little common sense.

There were two tolls of which one of them wasn't open, but then again I did the St Lucia trip around 2 months ago...

So I filled up at Sasol at 03:50am and filled up 52l of diesel. Left Fourways at 4am and got to Piet Retief at 07:00am where we had breakfast. Left Piet Retief at 8:00am, got to Mtubatuba at 10:00am and got stuck there for an hour and 30min. We continued to Empangeni for a few hours and chilled there where we had lunch. We soldiered on to Durban, then joined N3 North to PMB. The entire trip was 900km and I did it on one tank doing 10-39kph above the limit raise: I'm just impressed with this car raise:
