Road Rash

Hi Guys

Picked up some really bad Road Rash when on my way to Bloemfontein during the Time they were working on the Road at Ventersburg.
Is there anything I can do or is a re-spray my only option?

Depends on how deep those chips are...

You could decrease the appearance quite significantly.

Looks like there's some tar in there as well, try auto finesse obliterate, followed by some Iron X, or better yet, take it to a professional detailer to work on

only a claybar. get the meguirs agressive one
not the medium not the mild.

That would take much longer and will not do anything for the stone chips.

If they aren't too deep a good compound will help.

Well all those little white spots are right onto the layer under the paint. The actual paint has been knocked off. Thanks for the suggestions though it's appreciated.

Are those stone chips or dirt?

If they are stone chips you will have to repaint. If it is dirt then there are other avenues.

@Anton: How can you advise using an aggressive clay without physically inspecting the bumper? If those are stone chips, clay will do absolutely nothing.

Hi Legacy

It's stone chips. For the price I have been quoted to re-spray I can do a full wrap!

Called DentDoc, waiting for a quote. I will be doing a VPS wrap/coat as soon as this is sorted. Pervious 135i had VPS and I had no problem with chips or scratches, was stupid not to get this one done as well.
