and so I got a flat yesterday .. luckily lasted till I got home. but when I tried takin the wheel off to replace it with the spare, it refused to come off! tried hitting it and knocking it with the wheel planner, but to no avail. :( gonna get a better jack and bigger hammer tomorrow!

try removing the nuts first...:):):)

Perhaps a penetrating spray, left to its thing for a while might have some corrosion between the hub and the wheel.

Remove wheel bolts , spray Q20 or so between rim and hub where possible, turning wheel around slowly . Replace wheel bolts finger tight , go for drive around block ( use both sides of road for maximum loosening effect :excited: ) . Wheel should be lose . Mag rims tend to bond to steel hubs over time . Maybe a coat of copa slip or penetrating spray on hub before reassembly will help . Had a few punctures last 2 years or so - rubber mallet talks rims language .

Sit in front of the rim on the ground and give it some good kicks if you don't have a mallet handy. Driving on semi loosened nuts could work, but is not recommended from a safety point of view, although loosening the nuts and simply lowering the car onto the rim doesn't help either.

Good call would be the copperslip then or a really big rubber mallet.

I had that problem with my previous E36, as soon as I sprayed the lubricating stuff on and gave it a few good tramps from the side it jumped off

thanks you guys. I'm getting someone to help, a rubber hammer, Q20 and a 2Ton trolley jack in to solve this problem.

will let you know how it all went down tonight.

Had to commute with my 100cc, low emmission motorcycle though. (trying to reduce my carbon footprint) !!! :mmm:

I had the same problem when i bought my car. It was apparently rust on the wheels.

The guyz at TWT removed it wit i think a copper type 'paint'. Not sure what it was.

Guys, it's off!!!

My uncle came and did it while i'm at work. He used muscle and a 2ton jack. I would've liked to put some copper compound on it before he put it back, but i'll anyways have to take the spare off again later tonight.
