Ride quality improvement with coilies on f82 m4 with no adpative M suspension?

Gents, has any of you that have fitted coilies like: bc racing, bilstein b16, kw,koni etc on a non adaptive M suspension m3/m4.

Does the ride quality improve over stock, potentially worn out shocks or is it pretty much the same.

Also if the Edc shock button, when switched between efficient and sports, sports+ doesnt really do much is this a sign of worn out shocks/dampeners?

I stand to be corrected, but from my knowledge when you go to coil overs then you either need to Code out EDC or bridge the wiring with a resistor in order to turn the light off.

Yup - the KW kits come with the resistors.

There is a long list of things that can be done to the OEM suspension to improve handling (There is a comprehensive list of things somewhere online that I had read before) including HAS kits and camber plates before you need to go with KW or higher end coilovers. Those involve coding out EDC and by the time you need that level of performance you are really setting up the car for specific circuits and damping/rebound rates. It isn't really a 'I want to go lower' discussion.

In terms of improving comfort, if you want any more comfortable than efficient mode, then owners who have pursued this are going to have to chip in. You can read 100s of posts about people with ISC/BC/<Insert name here> that say that comfort has improved and normally that is (like tyres) because they are moving from damaged or worn units to new ones OR that they have to justify their choice. I am not sure 90% of the people who do this really know what an improvement is/feels like anyway

Well depends, you will be amazed at how many road going cars have coded out. Sometimes its cheaper and quicker to get the coil overs then to bother with the stock suspension.
Other times its race cars or even air ride cars that will require the EDC code out.

Cheaper and (maybe) quicker, sure but are the cheaper aftermarket options actually better? I last looked at buying an M4 many many years ago though so my view may be out of date.

There is an EDC button on a non adaptive suspension car?
this is whats confusing me coz the car im looking at was confirmed as "not" having adaptive M suspension" as a build feature/extra, however it has that little button with the shock on it that moves from efficient, sport, sport+.. thats in between the engine and steering sport mode toggle buttons..

is Electronic dampening control and adaptive m suspension 2 different things on these cars?

Strange. I always thought the button was a clear indication of Adaptive suspension being fitted.
