OGE34 popped around to have his 540 serviced.

He mentioned I havent posted very many pics of my project on this forum, hauled out his very cool Canon camera and some lenses and proceded to do a really nice photoshoot whilst I was servicing his baby and doing some upgrades to it.

There are many different exposures, black and white etc, and the man definitly showing some awesome photographic talent capturing the essence of this car as it is after all the work on it.

So here they are:

 that shift lever is sitting LOWWww

He took it for a drive and first thing he said when he got back was "oooh the gears feel niiiice" Colin said the same when he drove it, so my little quad bearing shifter design combined with the short lever seems to be the thang...... Good cos I wanted a snickety snick short shifter with feel :=):

Rick That ball bearing shifter setup is really ingenious. Can only imagine how stimulating the shifts must be

The prototype looks ugly but works well, will probably have one machined out of aluminium later this year.

My car is missing it's twin, I think I'll quickly pop around to Jandre's place and give him a fat clip around the ear for selling it, at least I am sure you are enjoying her which is , look after her as there is some of my handiwork in there too.

Apart from that thing in the lower front part, the car really looks very very nice. And the steering wheel is awesome:thumbs:

Try as I might I just cannot get an original bumper, and I mean worldwide, not at any "human" price anyway so that front contraption is getting rebuilt when the body shops open again. Actually doent look too bad design wise, so will have to just fix it for now and keep hoping an original front bumper turns up.

If and when it does I will only then return the lower trim to OEM black.

Since I have been looking at AJM's white M5 now for the last 48 hours, i was wandering how silver/grey lower trim such as the black M5s' would look on the white?
Was the OEM color on the lower trim of the white cars flat black or diamond black?
I am sure that with your wide variety of skills, the front bumper would look just as good as new when you are finished with it.

In SA it was flat black, think they used the metallics elsewhere, I really like the grey the other colours have but that wont work on white.
